The AMC ENGINEERING COLLEGE is an all-India Institute, established in the year 1999 for higher education. The primary motive of AMC ENGINEERING COLLEGE is to "train young men, women who able and eager to create and put into action such ideas, methods, techniques and information"

AMC ENGINEERING COLLEGE was established under Paramahamsa Foundation Trust (R) and located at Kalkere, Bannerghatta National Park Road, Bangalore - 560 083. The Engineering College is housed in a spacious 42 acres campus, having more than 1,20,000 sft biut-up area with cricket ground, Basket ball, Volley ball and 400 meter 8 lane track facilities.

Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE

Department of Computer Engineering was established in the college in 1999 and a B.E. degree course in Computer Engineering was started with an intake of 60, now increased to 90. First batch of Computer Engineering took off in year 2003 and since then the gradient is only going steeper with more emphasis on current market trends and application-based studies.

In the last few years, Computer Engineering department has developed state-of-art laboratories in the various fields of computer engineering: microprocessor design, computer architecture, database management, image processing, computer networking, artificial intelligence, software engineering, multimedia, CAD-CAM, web designing etc.

The curriculum in B.E. Computer Engineering lay emphasis on design and development of both hardware and software, in addition to software packages. Miniaturization in Computer technology, Multimedia, storage and retrieval of data from databases, compiler construction, operating systems design, computer graphics, computer architecture, microprocessors based design are also the important components of the curriculum. A greater emphasis is on the electronic based technical knowledge. Moreover, the curriculum includes advance programming languages & skills in addition to computer networks and communication technologies. Industrial training is an integral part of the curriculum to inculcate the multi-dimensional growth of a student.

The department also runs a M. Tech level program in Computer Technologies and Applications. Keeping in mind the explosive growth that has taken place in the various disciplines of software technologies, the department is also applied for various M. Tech level programs in Software Technology.
